American-Palestinian Youth Freed After Nine-Month Period in Israel's Custody

An American-Palestinian youth having endured 270 days in Israeli detention absent formal charges has been freed.

Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old at the time of his arrest this past winter within the occupied West Bank, during a family visit while residing in Florida accused of stone-throwing against settlement residents, which he previously denied.

The US state department applauded the teenager's freedom.

Currently aged sixteen, was taken to hospital for treatment immediately after release, family members reported.

According to them, he appears pale, underweight, and experiencing medical problems developed during imprisonment.

Through an official statement, family spokesperson conveyed their "tremendous relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" during the entire detention period.

"Currently, our priority is providing Mohammed with urgent medical care he requires following exposure to mistreatment by authorities and inhumane conditions throughout his detention."

American authorities said it would continue to offer diplomatic assistance for the Ibrahim family.

{"The Trump Administration gives utmost importance than the safety and security of US citizens"," officials stated.

Several congressional representatives submitted a formal letter to the state department and President Donald Trump, demanding more be done for his freedom.

Mr Ibrahim, with four children managing a frozen treats business based in Tampa, previously claimed his son only confessed about rock throwing due to physical abuse.

There were no visits or communicated with his son since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively what had happened to him in detention through court documents.

He stayed absent formal charges in Ofer prison throughout the occupied territory.
